Hoop's size guide.   The diameter of the hoop is determined by the height of the gymnast, not by her age. Typically, the diameter of the hoop is equal to the distance from the top edge of the hipbone to the floor. Hoop measurements are inside diameter measurements. Approximate size and age match:
  • 3-6 years old - 60 cm
  • 6-7 years old - 65 cm
  • 7-8 years old - 70 cm
  • 9-10 years old - 75 cm
  • 10-12 years old - 80 cm
  • 12 years and older - 90 cm
